Experience & Expertise
Peter Bishop has over 40 years of insurance experience. He started his career as the lead program architect of American Safety’s expansion to the Excess & Surplus (E&S) marketplace. Peter held underwriting positions at Admiral Insurance Company, Acceptance Risk Managers, Munich America Re, Illinois R. B. Jones, and Francis Special Risk. Throughout his career, Peter founded and managed Venture Underwriters, an insurance program company that specialized in primary and excess commercial casualty risks.
Education & Associations
Peter graduated with an Honors Degree in Insurance from the City of London Polytechnic. He is an active member of the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA), which supports the wholesale, specialty, and surplus lines industry.
